Yep, this is a post about eating again!
The man and I went to the Java Moon Cafe in Shrewsbury tonight. I’ve been meaning to check it out since I moved here a year ago. So tonight was the night finally!
I dig the celestial theme and decor. The menu is your typical American fare — sandwiches, soups, salads, burgers – as well as pasta and seafood dishes. Prices are moderate.
For starters I had a vanilla soy milk steamer! I haven’t had a steamer in a long time. It was great. C had a coffee. It came in a huge mug that held about 3 cups!
Food-wise, I went for the Grilled Corn Bread salad with crispy chicken. C had the broccoli rabe with sausage. My salad was good and perfectly portioned. C’s enjoyed his dish, too.
Service could have been better, though. C ordered a cup of lentil soup that was never delivered and the server never apologized for not delivering. We made sure the soup was not added to our bill – and it wasn’t.
Soup issue aside, this dining experience gets a grade: B
