We checked out the Pour House yesterday. We didn’t want anything fancy or expensive, so I figured that would fit the bill. It sure did!
I was not in the mood to drink, but if I had been, I know I would not have been disappointed. Big selection of beers and drinks, as well as Sangria which I love!
We ordered the fried calamari to start. We were not very impressed with it. It was bland and not quite warm by the time it got to our table. We ate it anyway.
Our server was nice and delivered in a fair amount of time. She seemed really tired, though. I could sympathize with her. Years ago when I was a server, I used to work long, hard hours. It’s not an easy job at all.
Our dinner salads were huge! I opted for the chicken caesar while he had the spinach with chicken. They suited our purpose for non-fancy eats. Though I still think, out of all the local dining establishments we’ve tried, for salads we like the Broadway Grill best.
In conclusion, if you’re looking for non-fancy, standard American fare, or you’re looking for a bar with eats, check out The Pour House!

We have moved away from the area some 15 years ago and have fond memories of the Pour House. I loved their salad with the baby shrimp and their special dressing. I hope they still have popcorn at the bar. It’s the reason we started going there. Haven’t found a restaurant quite like the Pour House since leaving New Jersey.
